Spatial Tracking Monitoring
An eHealth Africa platform
Live Real-time polio campaign intelligence · Nigeria · 37 states

The Spatial Tracking Monitoring (STM) Platform is a real-time campaign intelligence system that monitors, analyses and improves how polio vaccination campaigns are actually executed. It consolidates data from GTS trackers, eTally, MST and Fionet devices, reconciles every visit against the Master List of Settlements (MLOS), and gives supervisors one trusted picture of coverage - while there is still time to redeploy teams to the settlements that were missed.

How it works

From four field systems to one operational answer.

The heavy lifting - integration, spatial reconciliation, anomaly detection - happens behind the scenes so supervisors can focus on the settlements that need attention.

Consolidate every source
Every 30 minutes, STM pulls fresh GPS tracks, eTally submissions, MST checklists and Fionet confirmations - so there is one reconciled dataset, not four rival spreadsheets.
Reconcile against the MLOS
Each visit is spatially joined to a settlement on the official Master List. Coverage, missed settlements and channel reach are recomputed - and anomalies (phantom visits, GPS spoofing, biometric mismatches) are flagged automatically.
Act before the round closes
Drill from state to LGA to ward to a single settlement. Redeploy teams to the gaps that matter most, while there is still time in the campaign to reach them.
Where the data comes from

Four live sources. One version of the truth.

Instead of chasing four separate reports, STM pulls every source into a single reconciled view. Each visit is traceable back to its original submission and matched against the Master List of Settlements before a single KPI is computed. No parallel spreadsheets. No version arguments.

GTS trackers
GPS breadcrumbs from vaccinator Android tablets, updated continuously through the day.
eTally
Household-level visit forms from OPV and SIA campaign teams via Kobo.
MST
Supervisor checklists filed in the field — quality & process signal.
Fionet devices
Point-of-care device submissions confirming who was actually vaccinated.
